He explains how a random tour stop and a $15,000 gamble turned into a lifelong passion project preserving one of the most iconic movie sets in pop culture history. Danny details the painstaking process of restoring the dilapidated home used in Francis Ford Coppola’s The Outsiders, how he tracked down rare memorabilia including Matt Dillon’s leather jacket, Rob Lowe’s flannel, and Coppola’s director’s chair, and how community donations from the likes of Jack White, Billy Idol, and The Outsiders author S.E.
