How about this for an analogy? The swim is Spring Training, the Bike is the regular season, and the Run is the Playoffs.    We’ve all seen that team that starts slow then comes out of nowhere to peak toward the end of the season, then make a deep run in the playoffs. So, with that in mind, what part of us thinks that getting passed at mile 5 of the bike is such a bad thing? Or, why do we come out of T2 with guns blazing on a run when we’d be much better served to take it easy and build?   Today we talk about staying within yourself and how the ego takes over in training and races.  Accepting and adapting to where You Are At The Moment, not Where You Want To Be.
