In this episode, I talk to Nicolás Kanellos founder of Recovering the U.S. Hispanic Heritage of the United States, which researches Latino history in the United States. Since 1980, he has been a professor at the University of Houston, where he became the first Brown Foundation Professor of Hispanic Studies. He is also founding publisher of the noted Hispanic literary journal The Americas Review and the nation’s oldest Hispanic publishing house, Arte Público Press.
