Blakeradio host Deardra Shuler talks with Virgina Johnson the artistic director of the Dance Theatre of Harlem about their monthly Sunday matinees, held every second week of the month where they will feature special guest artists until the month of April 2011. The matinees take place at 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. at the Everett Center for the Performing Arts, located at 466 W. 152nd Street (between Amsterdam and St. Nicholas Avenues). In May, the program will be held the third Sunday of May, followed by a Meet-the-Artist reception. The upcoming matinee on December 12 will feature the training dancers of the Dance Theatre of Harlem performing the "Nutcracker,"as well as feature Solomon Hicks and the Solomon Hicks Tri hosted by actress Phyllis Stickney.
