Deborah Strang's life journey took her from rural Virginia near the Appalachian Mountains to the stages of New York, regional theater across the United States, and finally arriving in Hollywood. Trekkies remember Strang from her role as Admiral T'Lara in the fourth season "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine" episode, "Rules of Engagement," but her career has some other Trek connections, too. We learn about her origins in the performing arts and the tools she picked up along the way; one of the most valuable lessons on acting she learned from her first TV gig, working with Scott Bacula on "Quantum Leap," and Pedro Pascal on "Touched by An Angel" in one of his earliest roles (ages before becoming Din Djarin in "The Mandalorian") and being part of the DC and Marvel Comics animated universes.
