Mario Alejandro Torres is in his second year as the Music Director and Conductor for the Bainbridge Symphony Orchestra and he’s excited for the symphony’s season to begin!  This season opens on Saturday, Nov 9th at 7:30 p.m. with Distant Light. What excites Mario isn’t just the music, although in this podcast you will hear him talk passionately about the pieces chosen for the first concert of the season. What’s exciting to Mario is the opportunity to share great music with our community, as well as the opportunity to work with amazing musical performers, including our very own, very talented Bainbridge Symphony Orchestra. The program begins with Jubilee from American composer George Chadwick. Distant Light, a violin concerto composed by Pēteris Vasks, follows as the second piece for the evening.
