Celebrating the life of Augustine, Bishop of Hippo, in the Church Calendar. August 28, 2023. Praying today for an end to the persecution of Christians in Pakistan. Our general order and lectionary comes from the Book of Common Prayer Daily Office. We’ll sing “Mt. Zion” by Jonathan Helser and we’ll include a prayer of confession. We’ll read Psalm 87 followed by the Gloria Patri. Our Scripture lesson is Hebrews 12:22-24, 28-29 . We’ll say the Apostles’ Creed, the Lord’s Prayer, and the Collect of the Day.
