Resurrection South Austin

We're kicking off a new series in the Pastoral letters of St. Paul to Timothy, called “Peace & Quiet,” where we are going to consider how the Gospel subverts the American Dream. Timothy was pastoring a first-century church, in the shadow of the Roman Empire and its culture, which had its way of doing things, its version of “peace & quiet” which came in sharp contrast to what Paul was writing to Timothy. Fr. Shawn McCain is the founding rector of Resurection South Austin. Upon completing an M.Div at Fuller Theological Seminary, he was ordained to the Deaconate in 2011, and the Priesthood in 2012. He and his wife Michelle have been married for over thirteen years and are parents of five kids: Mateo, Maddison, Aubri, Braelyn, and Emery.
