In 2 Chronicles 7:12, God tells Solomon: "I have heard your prayer, and have chosen this place for Myself as a house of sacrifice... Now My eyes will be open and My ears attentive to prayer made in this place." This passage speaks of Solomon's Temple, but as Christians under the New Covenant, we know that our bodies are temples for the Holy Spirit (1 Cor. 6:19-20).
