The Thessalonians were a church of “irresistible influence” because they were a church of “irresistible leadership.” A Kingdom leader’s mission is to make disciples who make disciples, which means everyone is called to be someone’s leader. THE MARKS OF AN EFFECTIVE KINGDOM LEADER… 1 Thessalonians 3:1-2 says… “Therefore, when we could no longer endure it, we thought it good to be left in Athens alone, and sent Timothy, our brother and minister of God, and our fellow laborer in the gospel of Christ, to establish you and encourage you concerning your faith…” KINGDOM LEADERS EMPOWER OTHERS! The Apostle Paul EMPOWERED TIMOTHY, a younger man who would lead the second generation in the early Church. Paul knew that a MULTIPLYING MOVEMENT demands multiplying leaders. There is no movement apart from multiplication. Paul DEVELOPED and DEPLOYED deployed Timothy to minister through him, not merely to him. Paul had discipled Timothy, who was now being sent to disciple the Thessalonians. KINGDOM LEADERS LOVE OTHERS! You
