Many times our core identity is based on the culture of the day. Traditional culture...your work or marital status, what you excel at doing-your achievements. Modern culture...I'm self made, I make my own way.But there is a third way...to understand that as believers in Christ the core identity through which everything else flow is this..I am loved, I am significant, I am valued, I am affirmed, I am enough regardless of everything else in my life. Our core identity in Christ means I no longer have to achieve this or be that but rather I allow who I am in Christ to inform all the other aspects of my life. No more self conciseness, no more completion. Just the real me-unique and wonderful, made in the image of my God.
