Now, a birthday can also be celebrated with receiving gifts, gathering friends, and especially having a birthday cake. But, on this day, it’s also a chance to remember the day that the major event that started your life occurred years ago. Celebrate, give thanks, and reflect upon how well you’re doing for the calling that you’ve been given. G-d has invested a tremendous amount of energy once again, on your birthday. This very special day, my birthday, it’s exactly what He’s done for me, as well. A birthday is a time to celebrate birth itself – the joy of life. It is also an occasion to rethink your life.
