Eugene Peterson once said, "The essential thing 'in heaven and earth' is that there should be long obedience in the same direction". Obedience is difficult though. In busy schedules and distracted minds, often the first thing that suffers is our obedience to God's will. But by following the Word and the Spirit, and using wisdom, we can become people of obedience and grow in our relationship with God.
