July 28, 2024 | Dream Disciple: Spiritually Dependent | John 15:1-11 The name dream disciple may seem impossible, that this goal is unattainable, but the fact of the matter is that these postures of a dream disciple are no only attainable, but expected of every person that calls themselves a Christ-follower.  The Knees Down disciple is devoted to a life of prayer, but it is more than that. It is a posture of complete submission to. July 28, 2024 | Dream Disciple: Spiritually Dependent| John 15:4-11 The third posture of a dream disciple is that they are knees down, spiritually dependent on the Holy Spirit through prayer. When it comes to spiritual maturity it is the opposite of our view of maturity. The more we are dependent on God and recognize that we can do nothing in our own strength the more mature we are spiritually. July 21, 2024 | Dream Disciple: Bible Open | Proverbs  Humans are the greatest of earthly creature. Nothing else on earth has accomplished more than us. Built what we’ve built. We have the greatest of all minds and yet we still fall short in our ability to process spiritual things. Faith doesn’t say let go of all reason. Faith is asking you to follow something that cannot be seen, so intellect and reason won’t help where faith is concerned. Faith tells us when our intellect and reason are useful. Matthew 6:33 says, "Look up and remember who you are and Who your Father is." An eyes up disciple doesn't chase after the things of this world. An eyes up disciple seeks first the Kingdom of God.

July 7, 2024 | A Nation in Turmoil | Habakkuk 3:17-19 The beginning of chapter three of Habakkuk, he recounts the faithfulness, power, and glory of the God of the universe and in that he finds relief from his despair by resting in the hope that God can do what He’s done before.  Today we are going to talk about something that is a challenge for all of us. Rejoicing in suffering. This is the posture of the people that know and love God. As long as we live in this world we will face trials and pain, but we can still put our trust in the Lord and find hope in Christ! June 2, 2024 | Habakkuk: Nation in Turmoil | Habakkuk 1:1-11 Habakkuk was a prophet struggling with balancing the God of justice he knows and the injustice he witnessed in the nation. He struggled with holding on to God’s plan, promises, and power because his eyes told him that God wasn’t present. How can a good God allow such evil? The words of this prophet are so real for many of us today.   But God doesn’t just leave him to struggle with this.
