We are having an identity crisis in the world, but what’s worse is that the church is having an identity crisis of its own.  The Bible tells us that Jesus fully accepts us as His children. Yet we are always looking to be accepted by the world and those around us. Why do we struggle so much with acceptance?  Neil Anderson in his book Victory Over the Darkness says this: “Acceptance was replaced by rejection; therefore, we have a need to belong.”   Do you wrestle with rejection from others?  Thankfully, there is freedom in the acceptance of God. Praying for the salvation of your children will be the most important prayer you ever pray for your children.  Let’s face it, eternity is hanging in the balance and the last thing any of us want is to spend our eternity separated from God and those we love. I had a wise woman once tell me – it’s always right to do the right thing.  These are words I always try to live by and words I taught my children as they were growing up. The Bible warns us that there will be many false teachers in the last days.  The Bible also teaches us how to spot a false teacher when we see one. We all want freedom. Freedom to say what we want to.  Freedom to do what we want to. Freedom to be ourselves without judgment.  True freedom is what Jesus came to give us. I truly never understood the freedom that Jesus died for until years into my walk with Him.
