Take It Deeper Questions: Read Mark 9:14-32 When you were a child, what issues were most likely to trigger an argument within your family? Whom do you most identify with, afflicted boy, concerned father, observing crowd, struggling disciples or the criticising Pharisees? How is it possible to believe and not believe at the same time? When have you felt like the father? I believe, help me with my unbelief? What doubts are recurring in your life? What faith realities are you confident in? What happens in you when God answers your prayer. “I believe, help me with my unbelief.

Take It Deeper Questions Read Acts 16:16-34 What public spectacles have you experienced that made you feel uncomfortable? The did financial cost affect the girl’s owners acceptance of the Gospel? What financial concerns keep some people from faith today? What was Paul and Silas’ attitude in prison? How did they get that attitude? What is your go to attitude when doing things for God doesn’t work out well? How are you challenged by Paul and Silas’ experience? How can you move from being challenged to being changed?

Take It Deeper Questions: Read Mark 10:13-22 What situations or scenarios do you find yourself the least patient? Why would the disciples want to keep the children away from Jesus? What childlike qualities was Jesus encouraging? Why do you think Mark shares the story of the rich young man here? How was the rich young man NOT like a child? How do these two narratives challenge you and focus you in the growth of your faith?

Take It Deeper Questions Read Joshua 5:13-15 Who is the most intimidating person you have ever met? What made them that way? What is meant by “neither?” What does the commander want? Why? What are the parallels between this story and the story of Moses and the burning bush showing us? (Exodus 3) What insights do these interactions give us in how God interacts with us and how we are to interact with Him?

This we talk about the Exodus story, but more specifically the Moses story. Take It Deeper Questions Read Ephesians 3:1-13 What is your favorite mystery movie or book? Why? What mystery that was made known to Paul is revealed in this passage? Why would Paul consider himself “Less than the least of all God’s people?” On a scale of 1 (low) to 10 (high) with how much “freedom and confidence” do you approach God? How can we share the Good News in such a way that people hear it?

Week two of our series: Clickbait This week we look at the story of Noah. Take It Deeper Questions Read Hebrews 9:11-28 What event have you gone through once, but have since vowed, “never again?” How is the priesthood of Christ distinguished from the old system? (12-14) Why does Christ’s sacrifice have an everlasting result? The author used OT analogies to explain the meaning of Jesus’ death to religious Jews. What analogies might clarify this with non-religious people today? How do these analogies help us understand what Jesus accomplished on the cross for us?

Welcome to week one of our new series called Clickbait.  Take It Deeper Question Read Genesis 1 If you could create a new animal, what would it be like and why?( Features, character, preferred environment, relationship with people) How aware are you of the created world in your everyday life? What aspect of creation is most inspiring to you? Why? How does it affect your understanding of God? What does it mean to you to be created in God’s image? How should this affect your relationship with God and with others?

This week we walk into a difficult conversation. This topic is often avoided, which is the wrong answer. We don't have all of the answers, but that shouldn't stop us from engaging in conversation.

How do we have a healthier church culture? What does it take to change culture?  Take It Deeper Questions Read Colossians 3:1-17 In buying clothes, are you a name-brand buyer, bargain hunter, spouse conscious, quality conscious, style conscious, or you don’t give any of this any thought? Why? Why do you think Paul uses the verb “put to death” in verse 5? (Google search “nekroo”) Why do you think Paul uses the verb cloth in vs. 12? (Google search “endyo”) What “wardrobe changes” do you feel are needed in your life? How would that change affect you, your relationship with God and your relationship with others? Who can help you with your “clothing choices?”

This week we are starting a conversation about "together." What does it mean to be a part of a church? A family? A community? Take it Deeper Questions Read Philippians 1:1-11 What type of email subject line would cause you to open it immediately? What challenges commonly appear in partnership? How and why can those challenges be terminal to a partnership? How and why do those challenges overcome? How do you see God working in your life and in others lives as mentioned in verse 6? As Paul’s prayer in verses 9-11 is answered in you, what do you see happening? What changes? What stays the same? 

This is part 3 of a 4 part series about church culture. This week we talk ponder what it would be like if we invested into relationship early. Take It Deeper Questions Read James 2:14-26 Are you more likely to act without thinking or think without acting? What is the relationship between faith and deeds? What different ways can this relationship be healthy or unhealthy? Why is Abraham a good example? How does a person grow in being animated and motivated by his or her faith? How can you grow in that?

This is an intro into our series about Culture. It's every where and it grows regardless if we want it to or not. What's in your petri dish? How can we change the culture around us, and what is our responsibility?  Take It Deeper Questions Read Luke 19:1-10 and Luke 18:18-30 What unusual subcultures have you been a part of? What is standing in the way of that subculture becoming mainstream? How were the cultures of the Rich Young Ruler and Zacchaeus different? Similar? Why did Jesus address these two people differently? Why did these two people respond differently to Jesus? How are you personally challenged seeing these two stories side by side?

Take It Deeper Questions: Read Matthew 28:16-20 What do you remember from your first flight? Where were you going? What were you feeling? What are the cinematic ingredients of a great ending? What are the ingredients of Jesus last words? How do you respond to these questions? How do I see and respond to Jesus’ authority? Is Jesus’ call to go telling me to be where I am at?  Am I willing to intentionally invest in people indefinitely? Why is Jesus called Immanuel? God with us. How has to book of Matthew changed your views of Jesus as the Messiah? The Kingdom of God? Jesus’ ministry? Your ministry?

Holiday messages are always hard. Especially Christmas. It's tempting to make a production out of it, but when you really look at Christ's birth it was anything but grandiose. That says a lot about who Jesus is.

Take It Deeper Questions - Read 1 Corinthians 15:12-25 - What false teaching was being spread among the Corinthians? (vs.12) - From this passage, what does Paul say would be true if there were no resurrection of the dead? - What is the result of resurrection? - How has/does Christ's resurrection and our resulting victory over death affect you? Hope, courage, confusion? - How do people go from unbelief to believe? Is it the same process for everyone? Why or why not?
