My guest is Tio. (pt.1 of 3)- About Tio: Tio was born in Romania in the late 1980s. He grew up with two loving parents and had a great childhood, but as he grew older and started to witness the stress that money was placing on his family, he began to question more relevant things. His inquisitive mind with its insatiable thirst for knowledge, would begin to steer his life and actions towards investigating and challenging society's institutions and dogmas. He started a blog in 2006 as a therapeutic way to express his thoughts and ideas. That evolved to him writing a series of articles on his blog with the intent to transform them into videos. That idea and project was the beginnings and evolution of TROM. He became aware of movements / organizations such as the Venus Project and the Zeitgeist Movement, as well as other concepts and documentaries pertaining to the current socio-economic system, and possible solutions for a new, more equitable system. This was the first episode I ever did, and John was my first guest/interview (thanks John!). This is a precursor to next week when I'll have him back on as a guest again. It was just over a year ago, I was nervous, I was living in a tiny room at the time, I literally set up all my equipment right before we started the show, with everything crammed onto a little computer cart, I was sitting in a fold-out chair that probably wasn't safe for an overweight child to sit in, and my mic sounded like shit!

She migrated to the U.S. with her mother and brother when she was young. They settled in the New Jersey area where she attended high school. She is an avid snowboarder and her love of the activity is what first propelled her to start making small trips from New Jersey, north to places like Vermont and Canada. After being freed from slavery (finished high school), she drove alone across the U.S. to continue snowboarding in western Canada. Once she left New Jersey at age 18 and made that fateful trip, she knew she would never go back. He's had a love of the Arts his whole life, and majored in Fine Arts in college.
