As a student-athlete he was a three-year member of the Michigan State football team after having been an all-state football player for Detroit Catholic Central High School. He has run 63 marathons and hand cycled an additional twenty. He had coached Cross Country at Holy Name Seminary in Madison, Wisconsin, for ten years, including winning a state championship. He was also head coach of the Holy Name Seminary track team for eight years, also winning a state championship. In 2000 he was inducted into the Wisconsin Cross Country Association's Hall of Fame. He has also been an auto racing photographer and journalist, and has written seven books. He has been a parish priest since 1966, including St. John's in Princeton, Wisconsin, where he has been for 35 years, and St. James in Neshkoro, Wisconsin, where he has been for 20 years.

He was a three-time World Police Olympics boxing champion and is a former USA middleweight kickboxing champion and he is a member of the Sports Faith International Hall of Fame. He has a Master’s Degree in Catholic Theology and is an author, radio host, and evangelist. He is also a retired veteran of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

The former president and general manager of Charlotte Motor Speedway, having served in that role for 35 years. He has long been known as one of the foremost promoters of NASCAR auto racing and was inducted into 14 halls of fame. Back in his days as a student athlete he played college football at the University of South Carolina. His athletic career also included time as an outstanding boxer, posting a 40-2 won-lost record. He co-authored a book called, "Growing Up NASCAR: Racing's Most Outrageous Promoter Tells All."

The Associate Head Coach for the women's basketball team at the University of Akron. She previously was an assistant coach at Indiana University – Purdue University Indianapolis, after having spent ten seasons as an assistant coach at Miami (Ohio) University, where she had competed as a student-athlete, being a four-time letter winner there and three-time team captain. She has since been inducted into the Miami University Hall of Fame for her success on the court.

Originally from Antigua, and now living in Arizona, as a young child her dream was to be a Catholic nun. She is a Benedictine Oblate and has also made her Cursillo weekend. She also served in the U.S. military for 12 years. The list of sports she has competed in is quite lengthy, and she even won a Presidential Award for Athletics. Nowadays she is a coach with the North Phoenix Christian Soccer Club and also hopes to one day compete in wheelchair basketball as part of the Paralympics.

Currently an offensive lineman at Minnesota State University Moorhead. Prior to that he was a two-time all-state and two-time all-conference selection with St. Mary's Central High School in Bismarck, North Dakota, a private, Roman Catholic co-ed school where he also competed in boys’ varsity wrestling.

He grew up playing hockey and football, including competing in the latter sport for four years at William Penn University in Iowa, where he helped his team win a conference championship and broke the NAIA national rushing record. He went on to coach the offensive line at Dakota State University before going on to his current position as head football coach of Pierre TF Riggs High School. PLUS he is Head Coach of the Oahe Capitals High School Hockey team.

He recently directed a Catholic men's conference in Texas and is currently studying for candidacy for a Permanent Diaconate program in his Diocese. On the sports side, he spent many years in athletic training, both with college teams as well as the then NFL Houston Oilers.

He fought (Kyokushinkai) (Japanese karate) in the Tokyo Dome in Japan in 1995, representing USA, and continues to compete to this day. He had also played football in high school. He is a movie producer and -- among numerous other projects he has done -- was the Executive Producer of a TV documentary called, "Mother Marianne: Portrait of a Saint." He is also the founder of Movie To Movement, which promotes the incomparable dignity and beauty of the human person through the power of film. They just released a documentary that longtime NFL tight end Benjamin Watson is the executive producer of.

He is in his 20th season as the head football coach at Wingate University, where he is the program's all-time winningest coach. Previously he was an assistant coach at the University of Buffalo, and before that he was an assistant coach at Gettysburg College and a graduate assistant coach at Georgia Tech. As a student-athlete, he had played offensive line at Gettysburg College after having played football (and two other sports) in high school as well.

She spent ten years with the U.S. national team in gymnastics. Over the three Summer Olympic Games of 1992, 1996, and 2000 she won four medals, including gold at the Games in Atlanta and bronze at all three. In world championship competition she had won three silver medals and a bronze. In 2010 President Barack Obama named her as Co-Chair of the President's Council on Fitness, Sports and Nutrition. And, earlier this year she opened a gymnastics academy in Clarksburg, Maryland.

He coached for 35 years and, at De La Salle High School, a private, Roman Catholic school for boys in California, finished with a 399-25-3 record, including a national record 151 consecutive victories, which became the subject of a major motion picture. A number of his players went on to play and/or coach in the NFL. He had played college football himself as a running back at the University of Utah and then San Jose State, and he is the author of a book called, "Chasing Perfection: The Principles Behind Winning Football the De La Salle Way." He also is a speaker who gives talks to parents, teachers, students, and even corporations.

A pro football player who made his NFL debut last year as a tight end for the 2019 Washington Redskins team after initially having been with the Indianapolis Colts. In college he had played for four years and won a national championship at Alabama after having been a top prospect following his high school football days.

An assistant coach for Belmont Abbey College's men's track and field. As a student-athlete there he became the school's record-holder in the decathlon and earned All Region honors. He has also coached an NCAA DII All-American in heptathlon as well as a male and female freshman athlete of the year for their respective conferences. Growing up he had competed in football, baseball, and basketball.

The Director of Player Development and Recruiting Coordinator for the Tulane University men's basketball team, a position that he took approximately a year-and-a-half ago after having been special assistant to the head coach at Georgia State. Before that he served as an assistant coach at Henderson State, which came after a two-year stint at Northwood University where he finished up as associate head coach. He has also been Director of Basketball Operations at Miami University in Ohio, where he had played for four years.

He played baseball in elementary school, soccer in high school, and now in his adult life is an avid marathoner, including having participated in events from southern California to New York City to Naples, Florida, and even Rome, Italy. Meanwhile, he wrote a book called, "100 Ways John Paul II Changed the World" and has won more than two dozen awards from the Catholic Press Association. He met Pope St. John Paul II five times! He also talks here about having gone five times to the shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Mexico City.

A UFC Heavyweight Champion and three-time King of Pancrase world champion, he finished his career on a 22-fight unbeaten streak (21 wins, 1 draw). He has been inducted to the UFC Hall of Fame and has appeared in movies and on TV shows. He is a retired mixed martial artist, karate and taekwondo black belt, and Muay Thai kickboxer.

He is in his 14th full season with Major League Baseball's Kansas City Royals, serving as the team's Vice President of Publicity after having previously been their Vice President of Community Affairs & Publicity. It is baseball that he credits with leading him to the Catholic church, which he officially became a part of twelve years ago. He shares that story - and more - during this conversation.

He is an administrator of three churches in northeast Wisconsin. In his college days he was an offensive lineman, playing football at the University of Eastern Michigan, where he had earned a scholarship after having played football in high school. He was invited to try out with the NFL's Cleveland Browns and later would be inducted into the Sports Faith International Hall of Fame.
