Sinopse
Having run a successful Exercise Physiology clinic for over 12 years, I have seen countless fads and trends come along in this time. After a call from my mother in 2015 pleading to help my sister, her health and her bulging waistline, I set out to find a method that would finally see her take control of her health and weight. The last 3-4 years has been a journey into the world of Fasting and Fat Loss which has not only seen my sister finally see progress, but also allowed me to come across a number of amazing people and life changing stories. I want this podcast to be a place where I can share what I have learnt over this time as a way to help introduce you into fasting and see you take control of your Health, Happiness and Weight. I will also aim to have a number of guests on this show, both professionals and people who have lost weight and changed their life through Fasting as a way to expand the conversation and learn from the best in the industry and ordinary people who have found great success through the Fasting Life.I hope you enjoy the content and it helps to spark questions and see you finally take control of your Weight once and for all to see you live a Happy, Healthy and LONG Life.

#232 - Taking A Biopsychosocial Approach To Pain with Brendan Mouatt
28/05/2023 Duração: 47minI heard Brendan Mouatt speak at a recent conference I attended and from the moment I heard him speak, I had to get him on the podcast. His talk detailed how common approaches to pain, chronic pain in particular, were failing patients and how many of those patients felt lost and experienced years of unnecessary pain.In this weeks podcast, I had the opportunity to sit down with Brendan 1 on 1 and to dive deeper into the idea around treating pain through a Biopsychosocial model and how doing so could and often did help people remove long held beliefs around their pain and ability and see them move forwards pain free. 07/05/2023 Duração: 01h22minDr Rosey Lathouras is a Doctor of Chinese medicine and we had a fascinating discussion on all thing health and how many of our current western philosophies and practices are failing us and as research continues into eastern medicine, we discover just how powerful they can be to help prevent and cure many of our illnesses.I'll be the first to admit that I was once a closed minded individual and health practitioner and in the past I would have snubbed my nose at many of these practices, however as I've aged, I have become much more open minded and it has lead me to some amazing conversations and health professionals that are doing some great work.I thank Rosey for sharing with me her time and expertise and I do hope you enjoy and find value with this conversation just as much as I did. #227 - Three Idiots and 30 Years of Friendship
23/04/2023 Duração: 01h47minOutside of family, it's rare these days to find people that you can call family and who would be there for you at the drop of a hat. I've been lucky to find 2 of these people in my life and to be lucky enough to travel to Melbourne to celebrate the 40th birthday of Glenn and to sit down with my other best mate Matt, and have the 3 of us "chew the fat" for a couple of hours. I don't know what value this conversation will bring to the world, but it was great to be able to just openly chat with my 2 best mates and talk about topics that we deem important at the time. I'm big on mental health these days and in particular men's mental health as to often men don't talk to their mates about what's going on in their life. If this chat helps just one male, but also females, be more open about their feelings and what's going on in their life and it brings more energy and peace to your mind and life, then job done. For everyone else, I hope you enjoy the chat that we 3 best

09/04/2023 Duração: 01h19minAfter both Max and I released a book about intermittent fasting back in 2017 and I moved to live in France in that same year, it was inevitable that we would run into each other. I had max on my podcast WAY back in 2017 and while I've watched from a far the huge changes Max has gone through and the incredible work he has produced in that time, it's been a long time since we have both sat down and had a chat and so it was great to finally do that and to be able to record that chat and bring it to you as an episode on this new version of my podcast. Max is ever evolving with not only the content he produces for his large social media platform, but also how he goes about living his own life and how he works to live a happy and balanced life and he shares how developing a growth mindset and breaking free from a fixed mindset has played a huge role in that development. #224 - What's The Best Way To Help Your Child's Speech Development with Rita Shamoun
02/04/2023 Duração: 49minAs a father of 2 cheeky but fun girls, I constantly worry if what I'm doing and providing to my girls in the form of parenting, is helping them be the best that they can be. Should I allow them on their iPads and if so, how much time is OK, is it OK to swear in front of them, when is the best time to teach them new skills and is the drill sergeant or honey giver the best approach and whats the best way to help their language development. This week I had the pleasure of speaking to Rita Shamoun who's a speech pathologist and has worked with 100's of kids in her private practice and throughout her career and she had some amazing insights on all things speech and behaviour. If you have kids or you're looking to have kids, this episode is not to be missed as I'm POSITIVE you'll find it of value. #223 - I Ask Dr Steven Singh Is Barefoot Running Better For your Feet
26/03/2023 Duração: 01h07minI have both, never understood the foot or those who choose a profession that is all about the foot. With that said, I understand the importance the feet play in our body and how we move about and it's why I reached out to Dr Steven Singh to come on the show for a chat all about feet. The feet, just like the tires of a car, are the part of your body that are always in contact with the ground and are what help you, jump, walk, run, crawl, climb and basically do everything you take for granted on a daily basis. There are 26 bones, 33 joints, 29 muscles and a host of tendons, ligaments and nerves that make up the foot and it was great to have Steven on the show to not only explain how they all work to allow us to do what we do, but to also dispel some myths and misconceptions around feet and footwear, as well as talking about gadgets that might one day propel us further or help us run faster. While I don't particularly like feet, I LOVED this chat and would like to thank Steven for coming on and sharing his l

#221 How Can You Level Up, Dress Up and Move Up Your Style with Stylist Adele Leahy
12/03/2023 Duração: 01h45minIt's very clear to anyone looking in, that I have no idea what I'm doing when it comes to fashion and making myself look stylish. I have a wardrobe full of black, white and grey T-shirts and similar coloured shorts and that's the extent of my mixing and matching and I don't venture too far from it. With that said, I think when you look great and you have clothes that fit well and go with your mood and personality, then you tend to have a more positive vibe and flow about you and this infiltrates your life and the lives of those around you. This week I had the pleasure of speaking to Adele Leahy, a personal wardrobe stylist and image coach who loves helping men and women level up, dress up and move up in their everyday life. 05/03/2023 Duração: 01h24minBrigitte is someone I've know and worked with for many years and I've always enjoyed the level of energy she brings to any conversation I've had with her and this weeks podcast discussion was no exception. Brigitte has been through a lot in her life and she brings a very empathetic and caring voice and nature to the room and the people who are lucky enough to spend time with her and I invite you all to join in the conversation I shared with her this week. #219 How I Effortlessly Lost 10kg and How You Can To
26/02/2023 Duração: 50minI've been on a number fat loss journey's over my life and I've also helped 1000's of people do the same and for the most part I've been successful in not only helping those clients who come to me for help, but also myself. In 2022 though, I felt burnt out both mentally and physically and decided to completely stop focusing on the food I was eating and instead drive my attention towards the other pillars of health I talk about, being sleep, exercise and performance and time doing the things I love the most with the people I love the most. Over a 12 month period I had ballooned from a very lean 68kg to a whopping 85.8kg. This was the heaviest I'd ever been in my life and while I finally felt mentally well and also felt physically rejuvenated, I was unfit, out of breath and feeling like a fat slob. Now promoting a life of balance, I didn't want to go on a hard core cut that would leave me miserable and fatigued all over again and so I embarked on a new "BALANCE JOURNEY" and decided to document every step of

#218 Opening Up The Conversation on Death, Funerals and Saying Goodbye with Funeral Celebrant Luke O'Connell
19/02/2023 Duração: 01h09minThis weeks podcast is a topic that people usually shy away from and don't want to talk about as it brings up emotions of fear, hurt, loss and sorrow. However, as I continue to expand the breadth of this podcast and open the discussions up to ALL kinds of people and topics, I embraced this weeks guest and dove into the business and world that is funerals and being a funeral celebrant. We didn't stop there though and spoke openly and wide on all manner of topics and Luke O'Connell who is a Funeral Celebrant shared his story on how he fell into this profession after many years of being a musician and playing mostly for weddings. I truly enjoyed this podcast and my chat with Luke and not only did I find out a LOT more information about the business side of a funeral, but also how much of a difference a quality celebrant can make to the experience of what is usually a very sad time for people. Your first inclination might be to swipe away from this podcast, however I truly hope you give it a listen as there we

#216 Let's Just Talk with Vocal Coach Adam Mishan and Ask If Anyone Can Learn How To Sing
05/02/2023 Duração: 01h06minI've always thought that in order to sing like the great singers over the generations that you need a combination of an insane work ethic combined with amazing genetics, just like those who can run sub 10 second 100m or pain incredible works of art. However, after going through many classical avenues of singing lessons, Adam Mishan felt like the restrictive views a lot of teachers put on their students, held them back from achieving big breakthroughs and progress with their singing ability. Adam, a great singer in his own right, sought out to show that ANYONE can sing. Whether you're an aspiring rock star, want to sing for your wife at your wedding or already sing and wish to get better... Adam has the tools and YEARS of practice and proof that ANYONE truly can sing when given the right tools, encouragement and direction. I had a BLAST in this episode and I even put my hand at trying to sing a little better and so I hope you enjoy this episode and I don't make your ears bleed with my appalling attempt at

#215 Let's Just Talk to Captain Cameron Tribe To Find Out If Planes Really Are The Safest Way To Travel
29/01/2023 Duração: 01h16minI know I'm not alone when I share the fact that I get a high level of anxiety when getting on a plane. I'm a control freak at heart and HATE being the passenger in any vehicle and this feeling's at it's most when traveling by air and in a tin tube held up by physics that they actually can't quite explain but know it works because planes stay up in the air and don't fall out of the sky. This week I had the opportunity to speak to Captain Cameron Tribe as he shared his tales of travel and what it's like to be a commercial airline pilot. Cameron also went into detail and answered all of those questions we anxiety ridden, control freaks want to know about flying and whether it truly is one of the safest ways to get around. I'd like to thank Cameron for coming on the show and for sharing his incredible knowledge of flight and commercial airlines and I hope that this podcast helps you become a more centred and less stressed traveler. #214 Let's Just Talk If Now Is A Good Time To Buy A House with Mortgage Broker Matt White
22/01/2023 Duração: 01h01minIn a world where inflation is rising and no one knows how high interest rates will go, it can be a scary time to buy a house and take on a large mortgage. But, that's exactly what Amy and I have done and while we are terrified about what is to come, we are equally excited about planting our feet into our dream home and what that home will represent to our kids over the years to come. All of this wouldn't have been achievable without my best mate and mortgage broker by my side, walking me through the process and getting this CRAZY big loan across the line. This week, I speak with Matt from Modern Financial Finance Brokers and we talk in detail about where he believes the world is heading with regards to economics, interest rates and the housing market in general and we discuss whether now is a good time to buy or a bad time to buy. Either way, if you're in the market, are looking to get into the market or you're generally curious about money, how it works and the entire finance world, then definitely give

#213 Let's Just Talk Dating Apps and New Ways To Find Love in 2023 with Kristen Lilly
15/01/2023 Duração: 53minI can remember a time when going online to find love was considered weird and if you did meet someone online, you would both make up stories on how you met so that you didn't have to say you met online. Jump to 2023, and it's almost the ONLY way people find love and it's weird to hear that people found each other in the "real world" However, is this a good thing? On this weeks podcast, I chat with Kristen Lilly, someone who tried the online dating world and hated it and thought she can't be the only one and so went about creating a way to meet people in the real world and to have real connections. Enter... SPIN THE BOTTLE, a fun, safe and stress free alternative to online dating - for those who remember dating before it went digital. I had a great time chatting with Kristen and whether you are in the dating world or not, I think this chat can be great fun to listen to and to reminisce over the "good old days" of dating and how it has evolved over the years. I hope you enjoy the podcast and as always, pl
