Sinopse

Will is a ginger. Marc is gay. Together, they embark on a journey through cinematic love stories to answer the age-old question: Does Hollywood romance actually make any sense? Each week, Will and Marc pick a movie and analyze it - but only the romantic plotline. By the end, they have to decide for themselves whether they've really witnessed true love, or just another descent into madness.

Be sure to rate, review, and subscribe! Next week: HOW TO LOSE A GUY IN 10 DAYS (Will mistakenly says 10 THINGS I HATE ABOUT YOU during the episode, but he's wrong.) • Made of Honor

    27/08/2018 Duração: 53min

If you change the spelling of a word in a title, does that make it a pun even if it doesn't make sense? These are the sorts of questions Will and Marc are forced to ask as they dissect MADE OF HONOR in honor of Marc's future role as a man of honor in his sister's wedding. Also discussed: the act of de-aging actors using CGI, men's apparent inability to emote unless they're playing sports, and the high probability that the character Collin is oppressing his serfs. Plus: Why was this movie originally rated R? Why would Michelle Monaghan continue to hang out with Patrick Dempsey after their first meeting? And could you really marry someone who doesn't share their dessert? Don't forget to rate, review, and subscribe! • Addams Family Values

    11/06/2018 Duração: 45min

Carol Kane put a curse on Will to create a doppelganger of him and, being Will, neither of them could keep quiet. This makes it sound like there's an echo on this episode, but there's not - there are two Wills. Will 2 ran off to Hollywood to try writing something called "Spirit Locomotive" (they clones weren't exactly the same), so we don't expect to see him again. For those of us who are still here after that nonsense, snap your fingers and join in for Barry Sonnenfeld's sophomore feature, 1993's ADDAMS FAMILY VALUES! Will and Marc talk Joan Cusack's fashion, the merits of underground restaurants, Kamp Krusty, and Nathan Lane's turn as the one sane person in the Addams Family universe. Plus: Is Christopher Lloyd's Uncle Fester actually Wolverine? Is Tony Shalhoub truly a macho man? Should Will buy a LaserDisc player? Let us know what you think, and be sure to rate, review, and subscribe. Next Week: KAL HO NAA HO (Watch it on Amazon Prime to prepare!!!) --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/

  • Ocean's Eleven

    04/06/2018 Duração: 52min

Heads up: Will was submerged in a bathtub when he recorded his part of this episode, which is why it sounds a little funky. He won't need a wash again for six months, so it won't be a problem in future. Hello! Join our crew as Will and Marc talk heist movies in the context of Steven Soderbergh's 2001 classic, Ocean's Eleven. This is one of the more tangential romances we've done so far, but we still find room to discuss Solo, Chuck E. Cheese, 2001 fashion, and lots of people who were almost cast in this movie. Plus an in depth discussion of the movie's treatment of women, the slash reading we deserve, and a bevy of new hashtags and movie ideas. As always, make sure to rate, review, and subscribe, and share your #PodcastSummer stories on Twitter! Next week: Addams Family Values

  • Raiders of the Lost Ark

    21/05/2018 Duração: 01h03min

As #PodcastSummer continues, Will and Marc decide to celebrate by looking at one of the all-time great summer movies: 1981's RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK. They're joined by friend of the show Matt Grisier to debate perfect blockbusters, the symbolism of dresses and pants, and whether Huey Lewis is doing a black voice in "The Power of Love." Plus we talk about the writing process for the movie, plans for future sequels, and the weirdness of a franchise that spawned both a Nazi monkey and a switchblade-wielding Shia LeBeouf. Don't forget to rate, review, and subscribe, and send us your #PodcastSummer stories on Twitter @HeartOfPodness! Next Week: KAL HO NAA HO Corrections: Contrary to what Matt said, Steven Spielberg did not get a Best Director nomination for JAWS. Contrary to what Will said, the 1936 Olympics were in Munich, not Berlin. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/we-love-the-love/message

  • Top Five

    14/05/2018 Duração: 44min
