Michael pauses for another Fifth Week installment this episode and looks back at something he missed in earlier episodes of the show. That's right, folks. He makes mistakes, too. In any event, Michael looks back at text stories contained in the third and fourth issues of SUPERMAN... and explores their connection to Superman, as well as that of their credited author, Hugh Langley.

A mysterious "pillar of fire" and threats to the small town of Graves End send Clark Kent and Lois Lane on their latest adventure as Michael looks at the 14th storyline from the Superman radio serial. What they find is a quaint but superstitious town... but far greater mysteries lurk beneath the surface, meaning that this... is a job... for Superman!

It's the thrilling return of Jimmy Olsen as Michael looks at the 13th storyline from the Superman radio serial. Everyone's favorite copy boy calls on Clark Kent to help him investigate a mystery at the home of his aunt, Louisa Horn, in a place called Lighthouse Point. But when Clark figures out that Louisa isn't telling all she knows, a far-greater mystery lurks just around the corner, including smuggers and the location of some ancient Chinese jade!

It's three rings of fun as Clark Kent and Lois Lane set out to get a scoop behind a series of robberies and muggings that have struck Metropolis. They wind up at the circus where the strongman, a behmoth named Herculo, is the prime suspect. But is there more to the robberies than meet the eye? Can Clark ferret out the true perpetrator before it's too late? And what happens when Superman is challenged to a fight by Herculo himself?! A seemingly mundane incident is the catalyst for our story when Clark Kent interviews a recently successful businessman and finds him to be... bored. But, things make an upward turn as Superman takes on a dangerous new threat known only as "the Lamite" as Michael looks at the fifth storyline from the Sundays installments of the Superman newspaper strip. Beware of giant spiders.

Return to the thrilling days of yesteryear as Michael looks at the 12th storyline from the Superman radio serial. An old friend of Lois's is charged with running Happyland, the newest amusement park attraction. But when "Midway" Martin's offer to buy the park is refused, he sets out to make Happyland a lot less happy... causing trouble for Lois and a job for Superman!

Michael is joined by Josh Bertone for a fun-fill romp through four brand new Superman adventures from SUPERMAN #6. The issue sees the Man of Steel taking on a variety of challenges as he attempts to clear Lois Lane's name after she's accused of murder, takes on racketeers and swindlers, and helps deliver aid to a earthquake-ravaged country. Plus, someone discovers that Superman and Clark Kent are one in the same. Can our hero stop the secret from getting out? All in a day's work for Superman.

Metropolis faces a new menace in the form of "the Unknown" -- a fiend who terrorizes the city, demanding the authorities allow bank robberies to occur, or bombings will tear through the city! Can Superman get to the bottom of things and unmask "the Unknown" before it's too late?! Well, of course he can. He's Superman. Duh. But find out how he does it as Michael looks at the 15th storyline from the Superman daily newspaper strip!

Michael is all by himself this time, but Superman's thrilling adventures continue as Michael looks at episodes 58 through 63, the 11th storyline, of the Superman radio serial! Lois and Clark head out to report on a deadly explosion at the doll factory of Hans Holbein. But things turn dangerous when Lois is abducted and Superman finds something far more sinister behind the explosion!

It's time to take a trip back to the longbox as Michael looks at the Superman story from from ACTION COMICS #27. Behind an awesome cover of Superman fighting a lion, we find a story that sees Clark Kent and Lois Lane uncovering trouble at a children's shelter... necessitating Superman to step in and deal with the fiends responsible!

Michael is joined by Charlie Niemeyer for a look at episodes 52 through 57, the 10th storyline, of the Superman radio serial. Joan Alexander joins the show's cast as everyone's favorite girl reporter as Lois Lane and Clark Kent go to interview Lois's strange uncle, Horace Morton, about his startlingly accurate weather predictions. But what they find is Lois's uncle embroiled in something far more sinister, causing Superman to lend a hand!

Clark Kent leads the search for three missing men as Michael is rejoined by Charlie Niemeyer for a look at the ninth storyline from the Superman radio serial. Forging ahead despite rumors of lost tribes and a mysterious, immortal witch doctor, Clark Kent leads the search for three missing men in the northern country of Esmerland! Superman's there to lend a hand in the rescue, but things really turn strange when the true identity of the witch doctor is revealed -- and someone's not making it out alive!

Finally! It's back to the Sunday newspaper strip as Michael looks at the fourth storyline. Unfortunately, it's a sub-par story overall. But, the good news is, there's plenty of the action, intrigue and insanity we've come to love in Superman's Golden Age adventures, as Clark Kent and Lois Lane (and Superman!) set out to aid a relief fund for a war-striken foreign nation.

A visit from an eccentric friend of Perry White and a dying man's last words leads Clark Kent westward (again) to investigate a mystery! And that mystery leads Clark -- and Superman -- into trying to stop an assassination attempt against the governor at the dedication of a new national monument. But can Superman stop the plot when he doesn't even know what it is or who is responsible? Find out as Michael is joined yet again by Charlie Niemeyer for a look at eighth storyline from the Superman radio serial.

Professor Clarence Cobalt cooks up copious chicanery at his crooked clinic of quackery as Michael looks at the Superman story from ACTION COMICS #26. Superman makes a two-fold return to his social justice roots to deal with a pair of phony doctor -- and prevent his victims from enacting their own brand of justice in this classic Golden Age tale.

It's back to the newspapers this time as Michael looks at the 14th storyline from the Superman daily newspaper strip, which finds a fallen crime boss trying to reclaim his glory. Will he make it back on top? Not if Superman has anything to say about it. Plus, Michael presents a Spotlight on radio's Ned Wever, the first actor to portray Jor-L!

The Man of Tomorrow returns to the once-called "World of Tomorrow" as Michael looks at the Superman story from the 1940 issue of NEW YORK WORLD'S FAIR COMICS. It's a quintessential story of the Golden Age Superman, with jewel thieves, Lois and trouble and Superman flying -- yes, flying -- in for the save. Also, Michael looks at other events from the World's Fair Superman, including Superman Day and the first public appearance of Superman himself in the flesh! Plus, a special cameo by the Golden Age Michael Bailey!

This is the story of Jor-L as seen in the pages of a Federal Men story from NEW ADVENTURE COMICS #12 from 1936 -- a year and a half prior to the publication of Superman!

Clark Kent is enlisted to aid in solving the mystery of some airplane disasters -- and when Jimmy Olsen tags along, both our favorite cub reporter and the Man of Steel get much more than they bargained for! It's a fun (if not somewhat maddening) six-episode tale as Superman deals with feral gorillas, rock slides, confused writers and more!

Michael is joined by J. David Weter for a look at four thrilling Superman tales from SUPERMAN #5. Follow along as Superman smashes and trashes a variety threats from slot machine rackets, crooked newspapermen, life-giving drugs and an incense menace, courtesy of the nefarious Luthor! Plus, more of Superman's powers bubble to the surface and the guys uncover helpful hints on how to take over the world! (Hint: It involves not making statues of yourself to be use in your schemes.)
