We also take a look at the NXE preview on Xbox Live and some of the new features...Including a technical difficulty on our part. But it gets fixed without stopping the show...much. In an impromptu CC Gaming Hardware Spotlight, we clean a Genesis cartridge with a nail file.

    Chinese knockoffs, hard drive enclosures, and destruction of buildings highlight this week's FNG live from CC Gaming in Kennesaw, GA! We take a look at the "Power Games" console - a Chinese Famiclone that looks like a penguin, complete with pirated games that are mislabled or hacked. It's a sight to behold! Then we look at a real game on the Xbox 360 - Red Faction: Guerrilla. We play some singleplayer and then head onto Xbox Live near the end of the show. During the CC Gaming Hardware Segment, we do some free repair work for Bobby and take apart an Xbox 360 hard drive to swap out sizes. We also take calls about franchising, fighting sticks, and where Mableton has been.

During this time, we take calls about BlazBlue and Penn & Teller's recent curse-filled episode about video games. In the CC Gaming Hardware Segment, we bring on Nick to talk about his controller modifications, and discuss revenue streams for the show because we are greedy like that.

Then we boot up Fight Night Round 4 for the Xbox 360 and our chatters thoroughly thrash Mableton. We also give details of where we will be - both physically and virtually - going forward. We give away a signed copy of Ghostbusters to one of our Twitter followers who so dutifully helped us in our shameless #followfriday request. We also discuss the No Elves campaign from Action MMO Global Agenda. In the CC Gaming Hardware Spotlight, we show you how you can replace your DVD drive without having to flash firmware or get banned from Xbox Live.     Live from the Computer ArenA in Roswell, GA, Glen and Bobby are fresh off of their trip to E3 2009 in Los Angeles. We wrap up what we thought of the show, as well as premiere an interview about Split Second from E3Coverage.com, and profess our undying love to Scribblenauts. We show the new motion controls from Microsoft and Sony and give our opinion on them and ask if a controller with buttons is really a hinderance. We discuss the new offerings from Nintendo and ask if they have lost touch with their audience. We then show off some swag from the show floor and give some away to our live audience while playing the demo for Overlord II on Xbox 360. Then, we show Rock Band Unplugged for the PSP with some Freezepop lovin. (Probably not the best thing to listen to on the audio podcast - sorry!) This isn't a normal show - we'll be back to playing full games next week!

    We start off the show mixing Bobby Blackwolf's two favorite things - video game music and drumlines. Bobby calls up old friend Greg Haynes, lead instructor of the Kansas University Winter Drumline, who just made blog waves by doing a 10 minute drumline show all about Mega Man 2. We ask Greg about his inspiration, what the hell the guy was doing in front of the line, and if he has any Rock Band tips. Then, we pull out X-Men Origins: Wolverine (Uncaged Edition) for the Xbox 360 and give it a bloody decapitating spin. Glen deflects calls about why he never answers his email. We finish off by comparing it with the Genesis version of X-Men, as played on an FC3.

Then we try to play a few games of Bionic Commando (the multiplayer demo) with our listeners, but the lack of a friends only lobby option kills that.

    This week, we provide a live translation of (most of) the recently released Japanese Final Fantasy XIII demo for the PS3. We also discuss some of the backstory of Final Fantasy games in general, including no less than three mentions of Mystic Quest. Sadly, our PROTIPS were not listened to by our live audience playing the game, hence why we say "most of" the demo is translated... Then, in the CC Gaming Hardware Spotlight, take a Nintendo DS Lite that isn't powering on and repair it live on the air with just a multimeter and a soldering iron. And then we open up Excitebots: Trick Racing for the Wii, learn that we can't play Multiplayer out of the box, but unlock the mode anyway and have some local races.

We take a look at The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena for the Xbox 360, which includes the original Escape from Butcher Bay game remastered. We actually pull out the original Xbox game and do compares to see how much they really remastered. Then, we break out a Nintendo DSi and even show it next to a DS Phat and a DS Lite to see what's new and what isn't new with the console.

We compare Sonic the Hedgehog with an actual Genesis to see how accurate it is. We go through several of the games on the disc, and then show off Beggar Prince by Super Fighter Team, a game officially released in 2006 for the SEGA Genesis.
