Dr. Tanya Maté is a naturopathic doctor and is the daughter-in-law of our past guest, Dr. Gabor Maté. She is currently working with a shamanic healing centre near Iquitos, Peru called The Temple of the Way of Light. Her role is the director of integration and she helps people who participate within the deep personal work, facilitated by plant medicine that is centred around Ayahuasca, integrate their experiences back into “normal” life. Tanya is deeply committed to helping people uncover whatever is at the root of their psycho-emotional or physical chronic condition, and helping them find passion, freedom, and vitality in life. We did it! 100 Episodes of Vancouver Real formally published! For this monumental episode Mike and Andy reached out to Brian Rose and his team at London Real podcast in hopes to interview Brian for VR's 100th. Brian replied and flipped things on them by inviting them to be on his show! A massive platform that Brian has been building for over 6 years! In February of 2017, Mike and Andy boarded a flight taking them to London for the first time. They took a red-eye and landed around 10am local time. After checking into their accommodations, a little nap and a shower, they went on one of many tube journey's to London Real studios to finally meet Brian and his team in person and record a LIVE episode of Real Talks with Mike. The following day Andy recorded the formal London Real episode. Steve Maxwell is a very experienced and internationally recognized fitness coach, physical educator and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu instructor who was one of the first Americans to receive a black belt. He's had multiple appearances on the Joe Rogan Experience podcast as well as the London Real podcast. We were lucky to snag him into our studios during a week full of seminars he was conducting in Vancouver. And we are fortunate to be joined with a guest co-host, Dr. Carlos Nunez who is a part of the Vancouver Real Community and was able to facilitate Steve's visit to our city. Steve is also a minimalist and lives a legit neo-nomadic lifestyle literally carrying all of his worldly possessions in a back-pack and laptop case as he travels ongoing around the world sharing his knowledge and wisdom. He has a very balanced, longevity and performance-based approach to fitness, health and wellness and is very holistic with his approach as well. Bruce Damer is truly one of a kind. He is Canadian-American multi disciplinary scientist, designer, and author. Dr. Bruce Damer collaborates with colleagues developing and testing a new model for the origin of life on Earth and in the design of spacecraft architectures to provide a viable path for expansion of human civilization beyond the Earth. He began his career in the 1980s developing some of the earliest user interfaces for personal computers, led a community in the 1990s bringing the first multi-user virtual worlds to the Internet, and since 2000 supported NASA and the space industry on numerous simulations and spacecraft designs.
