We can often learn powerful spiritual lessons from everyday events around us. In American football, when a team has secured the win and time is running out, they line up in the "victory formation" and take a knee, allowing the clock to expire without risking a turnover. For the Christian, the victory has already been secured through our Lord Jesus Christ. Yet how often do we try to take matters into our own hands instead of "taking a knee" and resting in the finished work and victory that He has already won for us?
