It was a speech that launched a career that would culminate with in the Presidency of the United States. On Oct. 27, 1964, actor Ronald Reagan gave a speech on behalf of Republican Party presidential nominee Barry Goldwater, the U.S. Senator from Arizona.  Goldwater would get swamped in the general election one week later, but the speech by Reagan, "A Time for Choosing," launched a star-studded political career.
