The rut action was immediate, with the deer counting upwards of 30 bucks by mid-morning. Despite Dave's reluctance to call, Rick persuaded him to try rattling , which proved to be the pivotal moment. Within seconds, the 6.5-year-old giant, affectionately known as "Ed Jones," charged out of the thicket and stopped at 20 yards. The incredible footage captures the chaos as Rick battled to film the rapidly moving deer, shouting updates while dealing with trees. Dave, at full draw, waited for the massive deer to clear the limbs and executed the shot on his personal biggest
