GORDIE is joined bt his long time friend since grammar school, MARTIN HVEEM! We break down how we met all those years ago in NAPA and learn new details along the way. Early sports connections, finding skateboarding, comic books, baseball cards, church, moving around, rules, learning what not to do by watching others, our mutal influences from role models, music, girlfriends and MARTIN tells about his journey to becoming a well-renowned auto restorer.   And everything else inbetween. This one is quite long, but there's a PAUSE BUTTON for a reason.

Will Pfeifer returns to the Gordcast to talk about all things December and some of the holidays that surround us.  The music we grew up with, the music we found later, the films that we discovered as movie nerds, the storires yet to tell and so much more. The eternal debate of what makes a christmas movie, ESQUIVEL, PSYCHO, THE APARTMENT, REDD KROSS, SPARKS, and of course STERLING HOLLOWAY. ...maybe the first episode ever that KISS is never spoken of.

Zack is back from the mutant graveyard to talk withe Gordie in another October episode. We're all over the place but mostly talk Halloween, defining schlock, B-movies, THE MARX BROTHERS, old comic book smell (...again) watching movies with the family, quoting movies and how to do it right, trick or treat rules, Halloween traditions and Gordie reveals his final costume at the USPS. We finish with an open invitation to one Chris Neseman.  

David Dopko finally joins the Gordcast, to talk Halloween, KAIJU, podcasting, growing up a monster kid, Aurora model kits, not having a basement and losing power on your laptop, bringing the conversation to a halt. As promised, WILL PFIEFER joins GORDIE and they pick up where they most likely left off back in 2012. WILL tells of how he discovered music, comics, movies and all things while growing up in a small town, gets to have his own radio show, writes comics for DC and his mom turned the television off when DEVO came on. GORDIE repeats stories he's told before, loves EVELYN TOGAR more than THE VELVET UNDERGROUND and since he shares a brain with WILL alot of the time, this episode goes on for awhile. Stay tuned for more episodes in the future.

GORDIE finally welcomes ZACK KRUSE to The Gordcast. 15 years seperate our heroes, but that makes no difference in a lively and educational conversation. ZACK hosts a radio show, snags his mom's copy of IT, peeks at ROBO-COP through a hallway, becomes a leading authority on STEVE DITKO and wasn't that scared of monsters. GORDIE was scared of KING KONG when it was shown at a church, borrowed a projector from the library, went to an Olive Garden once and imagines Nudy suits while listening to THE MUTANT GRAVEYARD. LOTS of monster kid conversation and nerdy music/music talk and a very healthy dose of MST 3K.

PETER "BULLDOG" DRUMMOND is back to talk mostly about The Book Of Boba Fett on Disney+. This episode is the least evergreen for sure. After talking MEN WITHOUT HATS and pogoing to ROB ZOMBIE, we settle in for a long and spoilerific conversation about STAR WARS and BOBA. We try to define, fan service, canon, head canon, what makes us happy, what makes us dissapointed, homages and we don't get in a virtual fist-fight. ...pretty nerdy episode

AUDRA WOLFMAN and BRETT STILLO are back and together we do a  2021 year end wrap up. The main focus is AUDRA and BRETT's Christmas trip to the world famous MADONNA INN in San Luis Obispo. We talk about other roadside attractions, getting back in the real world, meeting IRL, SNOOPY and The Red Baron, school of rock teaching, AMOEBA records, 8Tracks, vinyl collectors, dressing up for the holidays and stick around after the outro song to hear our favorite NEW YEARS memories.

PETER 'Bulldog" DRUMMOND has checked back in to the GORDCAST and we are talking DUNE! We begin with some leftovers from episode 108. Peter's just not that into horror movies, tried to fit in as a kid and digs black and white over color at times. We settle in and talk about both the film and the book DUNE. PATRICK STEWART, DAVID LYNCH, BODY HORROR, ASMR, the new DUNE ...and yes.  There was a DUNE coloring book for kids.

GORDIE welcomes back JOHN FROST to talk music gear, air raid sirens and the film THE WARRIORS. (...not the basketball team.) GORDIE tells the extended version of his custom BRIAN MAY Red Special guitar and JOHN tells of his ONE of ONE bass cabinet.  Then settle in for the second hour, while we talk about the 1979 film THE WARRIORS. JOHN definitely did his homework and we have a great time with one of GORDIE's favorite films.    CAN YOU DIG IT!

STEPHEN BREIT is back to solve the mystery of what t-shirt he is wearing. After a bit of quick music talk, we move on to comic books as a main topic, but go all over the place as usual. Comic conventions, collecting goals, bin diving, original art, baseball cards, listening to music while reading, recommedations and HULK vs. WOLVERINE.

STEPHEN BREIT has returned to GORDCAST and is turning the tables on Gordie, to take conrol of the question asking and we're back to A LOT of music talk! STEPHEN takes a Wisconsin Death Trip to his cabin in the woods, is getting ready for Chicago's RIOTFEST, has some regrets and together, we jam out farewell tours and Prog vs. Pschedelic. GORDIE justs want to have lunch with Dave Grohl and leaves the episode with a cliff-hanger. WHAT! 2 episodes within a week? GORDIE welcomes STEPHEN BREIGHT to the GORDCAST family. This is a music centric episode, with lots of fun conversation going all over the place genre-wise. STEPHEN goes to live shows with his mom, played rugby, grew up punkish, collects Tee-shirts and misses live shows. GORDIE realizes that "musicals" formed his taste, has a new favorite person, saw The Crash Test Dummies live and they BOTH collect ticket stubs. ...oh yeah, VAZQUEZ ROCKS.  

BRETT STILLO & AUDRA WOLFMAN join Gordie to talk about BOB WILKINS, CREATURE FEATURES and growing up GOTH. Brett buys slurpees, likes pointy shoes and hung out with a goth superstar. Audra's name set her down her creepy path, was cosplaying before it was cool and her parents had dinner with our hero. Gordie was barely goth, watched Creature Features with his mom and wouldn't watch Night Of The Living Dead. Many tangents abound, sports talk? and lots of fun conversation and riffing. ...and Benny Hill.

GORDIE and THEA sit down on the actual New Years Day to have a low-key, simple conversation of years gone by and years ahead. THEA tidies and cleans, didn't always know what a snog was, wore green underpants in grammar school and is hopeful. GORDIE is ok with being recognized, dresses up for holidays & plans new costumes and is hopefully optimistic. They wrap up with podcast recommendations, welcome new listeners and vow to "start as you mean to go on."

GORDIE is joined once again with BRETT STILLO to wax rhapsodical about the good old days of the SEARS Christmas Wishbook. If you grew up with the phenomenon, you'll be right at home.
