The GLD3 series are photoelectric slot sensors designed specifically for detecting labels on a roll of backing. The GLD3 slot sensor sets a threshold based on the amount of light received through the label backing. Labels are detected on the backing as they pass through the 3mm slot width of the GLD3 sensor because both materials together do not allow as much light to pass.
