This week has been heavy. U.S. Army Lt. Caron Nazario told Windsor City Police he was “honestly afraid to get out” of his vehicle in videos of the incident showing officers with their guns drawn during the traffic stop. A police officer shot and killed Daunte Wright during a traffic stop. Black America is exhausted. This week Carlos talks to 3 of his black friends. This week was the second-worst week of my family’s life. Our house got flooded in the Nashville floods. Our Bernese Mountain Dog Pope got really sick and we were at the vet ER with him until 3am. The next morning our favorite chicken Kris was murdered by an owl. Later that night we, unfortunately, had to go back to the vet ER and put our precious Pope to sleep. The next morning on our way out of town Heather gets assaulted by a suitcase in the Atlanta airport and breaks her wrist. THIS IS NOT A DRILL. How do you find HOPE in the midst of HELL?
