    15/10/2023 Duração: 40min

This month we take time to focus on Global Outreach and understand why it is important to the heart of God. Jesus instructed believers to go and make disciples of all nations and to teach them of God's love and commands. But what does that actually look like for us as the body of Christ? How can we as believers be a part of the great commission? Some are called directly to the mission field while some are called to give support and to pray. But no matter our instruction to this call, we are all asked to serve God on His terms and not our own. We are all asked to be productive and give of ourselves sacrificially in some capacity. Listen in to this week's sermon to learn more of how you can live out this part of God's Word even if it's outside of your comfort zone.

  • CHAT Survey // Belmont - Audio

    08/10/2023 Duração: 35min

There are many, many churches in our community and in our world. And we live in a culture that rates everything, and that includes churches too. It seems nothing in our culture is left unrated. People rate churches based on varying features. It might be the worship or the fellowship time or the sermons preached. But whatever the aspect, people all have something to say and an opinion to share. So how does a church gain a "high rating"? What does a healthy church actually look like? And is Mount Hope a healthy church? This week in our sermon, we learn what the word church means and how we as a body of believers can be a healthy church according to God's rating system and not ours.

  • Know That You Know // Belmont - Audio

    20/08/2023 Duração: 39min

In the book of 1 John, John is clearly communicating important information to the believers. In this week's sermon, God's Word shows us two crucial points when it comes to eternal life. These points matter in our walk as believers and steer us in the direction of how to walk out our daily Christian lives with those around us. After you have listened to this week's sermon, continue the conversation by discussing the following questions with fellow believers: What would the life of a person who knows they have eternal life look like? Is there any place in your life you need to change to live more like that?

  • Guilt Trip // Belmont - Audio

    13/08/2023 Duração: 47min

There seems to be two camps of people in this world -- rule followers and rule breakers. Some want to walk the line to a tee while others might tend to see how far they can bend that line. As followers of Christ, we are aware that there are commands to be followed in God's Word. Also as followers of Christ, we know there are times when we break those commands and don't always "follow the rules". So how does God handle this with us? How do we approach Him when we have failed to follow his commands and sinned against Him? In the book of 1 John, God clearly speaks to us and instructs us in how we are to approach Him when it comes to the sin in our lives. We all break the rules, but we have a Father who makes a way for us to be forgiven and shows us how to walk out a life confidently in Him.

  • What is in you? // Belmont - Audio

    06/08/2023 Duração: 30min

“You are what you eat.” We’ve often heard that as a reminder that what we consume determines who we are and how we interact with the world around us. How we fuel ourselves, determines the challenges we are able to face. In our Christian journey, challenges abound. We’re often pushed up against circumstances that push us to our breaking point. In those moments, what is inside of us will determine how we handle these moments. John reminds us that as Christ followers, we must abide in Christ. However, today we’ll consider God’s promise that as we abide in Him, He abides in us. And as He does, we are able to rise to the challenges around us.
