Thp Shreveport: Different For A Purpose

In the scriptures, we see God refer to Himself as "I am." In the Hebrew it is Yahweh. What does that mean? How do these simple words describe the creator of the universe?

We all have a name. We have a name given to us by those who love us and those who don't. We have names that describe us and names that define us. In the scriptures, God is called many things but what do they mean and how do they define our relationship with Him? We aim to answer some of these questions as we begin our series "What's In A Name?” This week our lead Pastor, Scott Ethridge, takes time to discuss a name for God that we find in the book of Genesis. That name is Elohim or Creator. Why is God called creator and how is our identity linked to him being the creator?
